Happy New Year

 I would just like to wish you all a Happy New Year and all the best for 2023 I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and got all that you wanted. Sorry I was quite all over Christmas and just before but I have had the dreaded Flu/cold virus and have been very bad with it 3rd week on and I think I am finally getting better.

Merry Christmas

 Hi there sorry for being quite but have been busy with work and getting ready for Christmas and have had one family Christmas day with my eldest daughter and family as we will not see each other Christmas day. Then we have my mum Christmas eve till boxing day then my youngest daughter and family are coming for our Christmas day so we will have three Christmas days in our house. 

So have a great Christmas and all the best for 2023 stay safe have fun

Noel card

I found this lovely glitter snowflake card and had to use it. I also found this stamp and die set that I hadn't even opened so I stamped and die cut my images and I coloured them with my Spectrum Noir blend pens though the little gork I put the stencil over and used a dauber and some ink to place the hearts onto her.

Christmas card

I have had this die for years and I used it once and I came across it while having a tidy in the craft room so thought I will use it. So I chose black and red card and then some kraft card to stamp my reindeer, gingerbread man and teddy with a cute santa hat. I used white card for my sentiment and I did everything twice so both side are the same. I really need to use this die more so I have left it where I can see it.

Christmas card time and I must of had this Santa's little helper die for over a year as I got it last year to do some cards but never did to be honest I found all the little bits of the die fiddly but I have persisted and love it. I have used the big Merry Christmas die before as it's a lovely font and a nice size. I love Tim Holtz dies.

Sanntangle swap 22 tile

Each month Sanntangle do a swap tile it's a good way to get a piece of someone else art work. Each month when the tile swap is posted we get a certain tangle that has to be in the tile even if it is just once . This month it was the one I have used for my petals on my flowers. I wanted to do a scarecrow think I did ok and the lady who received my tile said it made her smile so I am happy. We haven't had a swap tile this month due to the Royal Mail strike.

Tile 17

Sanntangle time and this is tile 17 and we have a grey tile today and we are using a white pen for the first time. Loving the black and white pens and the white pencil shading . I wasn't very happy with my white pen think I need to get another one that work better, I have been told white gel pens can be tricky.

Birthday card

This is a Birthday card I made for my bestie who lives in the Netherlands she has her own bee's so thought I would get my Scan N Cut out and a nature usb and made the beehive and a bee flying home. The Happy Birthday is a Crafters Companion die. I thought a pattern paper with flowers on would be good.

I have also tasted the honey from her bee's and it's very nice.

I am also pleased to say she loved the card.

Merry Christmas Cards

Time for a couple of Christmas cards I did two both the same but slightly different in colours as you will see this is the first. I have had these Tom Holtz dies for years I have used the merry Christmas before but not the others . It's amazing what you find when having a tidy in the craft room. I used a base Grey card matted with some patterned paper and I have used two different colour glitter cards for my die pieces. One is a white and the other a really nice pale blue.

Happy Birthday Card

Time to make a Birthday card so I took a black white base card and matted it with a piece of purple card. I die cut my type writer and took a piece of white card cut it to fit the typewriter then stamped my Happy Birthday onto it . As you can see I didn't re ink so it give the look that the ribbon is running out as that is what it used to do years ago lol. I also added a couple of hearts.

Jolly Jointed Christmas Mouse

Here I am again with another svg file I just love this little mouse and his great for a Christmas decoration. Easy to make Dreaming tree again so you get the full details I print all mine out and keep them in a folder incase I wish to make them again. Cute little hat box and card

I saw so many people making these cute little hat boxes I had to have a go again free svg from Dreaming Tree and you can follow Leo on You Tube . It's a lovely size I think you could get a nice candle in there some chocolate and many other things. So a great little gift holder for any time of the year.

 

Here is the card I used the piece left to make a mat onto the basic black base card I did the same flower from the hat box for the card and a nice sentiment raised to add a bit of dimension.

Money and Gift voucher wallet

Today I got the Scan N Cut out to make this lovely Money and gift voucher wallet ready for Christmas but can be used all year round. So easy to make it was a free svg file from Dreaming Tree and you can print the menu out and even follow Leo on You Tube who shows you how to put it altogether.

Sanntangle workshop project

On Sunday 9th October 2022 Myself and husband Gary went to  Sanntangle HQ for a workshop day we did two projects and this is one of those projects. Gary and I have only been Sanntangling since August this year . I was feeling nervous about the day as we are new to this and we have only done the little square tiles which are 3 1/4 by 3 1/4 this is A4 but I'm pleased to say I managed to keep up and I feel I did well . Sandra is a great teacher. We loved our day so much we have booked onto another full day workshop in December.

Self Reflection

Visible Image Dragonfly Dreams stamp set card Three.

I have taken a base Dark Purple card I used my double sided tape to make a boarder and I used some micro beads just to add a bit of something to the edges. I then took a piece of white card stamped my my Dragonfly and sentiment. I then got my daubers out and my Distressed Oxide inks out. The colours I used are Peacock Feathers and Kitsch Flamingo. I just rubbed my sections with different colour inks I rubbed straight across and slightly mixed the two colours where they meet.

Visible Image Dragonfly Dreams stamp set card Two.

I then took a piece of white card stamped my my Dragonfly and sentiment with versa mark ink used my white embossing powder and heated till it was all nice and shiny. I then got my daubers out and my Distressed Oxide inks out. The colours I used are Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron. I just rubbed my sections with different colour inks but this time I pulled my daubers across in a straight line. I then wiped it with a piece of kitchen paper to remove the ink from the Dragonfly.

Tile 17

Tile 17 today and there is a change of colour started with a grey tile and not just a black pen but a white pen too. When I first looked at this tile I thought no way can I do this the starting curve we had to draw but I started and it went well. Next stumbling block was the white pen it was going ok then it was hit and miss I have been told white pens are tricky so I will have to take this and maybe practice with my white pen and get used to it. All in all I am really pleased with how this tile finished.

Sanntangle time again and tile 16 A lot going on with this one and I must admit when I saw it I thought I can't do that but as I was told as a child there is no such word as can't. So I started and was really please that I did it and I am really pleased with my results.

With love on your Birthday

Thought I would make a gate fold card today using that lovely Butterfly Paradise die again and another sentiment from the Say It With Style Collection. I also had a change of colour a nice bight turquoise's blue/green. I die cut my butterfly out each side and this time I used some multi coloured glitter card and a couple of gems on the sentiment.

Hooray It's Your Birthday

I just love Butterflies this is an A6 black base card I have then taken my Crafters Companion Butterfly Paradise die and die cut it in the middle. Next I place a lovely piece of sparkly bright pink card and lastly I stamped a sentiment and die cut it the sentiment placed this on foam pads it is from the Crafters Companion say it with style collection.

Believe In The Magic Of Christmas Card

So I brought the Simply Cards and Crafts Magazine issue 233 it had this lovely die. I looked at the magazine and decided to have a go at making this card featured in the magazine. I also download and printed off the free papers. I really enjoyed making this card and there are lots more card examples for me to follow and make. 

This was a second card I made but this was my own design  and just a quick play with the die.

Happy Halloween Cards

Card to be made for Halloween . This is a quick card black base card piece of patterned paper for my background. I then took a piece of white card and stamped my mummy, skeleton and sentiment but to make it fun I added googly eyes. I then placed foam pads on the back to give the raised effect.

 Card Two

This time base card white mat but this time I have stamped my spider web on each corner then my mummy in the middle it looks a bit sparse so I stamped the witches hats and pumpkin a bat and at the top my sentiment. I also added a little colour and those wiggly eyes again.

Sending Love and Merry Christmas Cards

Visible Image stamp set Christmas Robin. This time base card black white mat and I have used the holy and stamped my holy in each corner I used my daubers so I could ink my leaves and berries and stamp them in one go I then stamped my sentiment in the middle.

Card Two

I have stamped my Robin in Soft Suede ink pad and coloured his breast again with my Spectrum Noir Tri blend pen Burnt Orange and this time I changed the sentiment to Merry Christmas from Stampin' Up! I have stamped this in Black.

Sending Love at Christmas Cards

Visible Image stamp Christmas Robin. I just love Robins so base card black and a white mat. I then stamped my Robin in Soft Suede and sentiment in black next to colour his lovely red breast to do this I used my Spectrum Noir Tri blend pen in Burnt Orange.

Smile and Hello Sunshine cards

Here are the further two cards I made using the Visible Image Daisy Grunge stamp set. This time I change the base card to Yellow took a white mat which is water colour card and I stamped my image and sentiment with versa mark ink and covered with Wow embossing powder Primary Ebony and heat this till it was nice and shiny, I then took my Colour it Brush pen set I used Outspoken Orange and Daydream Yellow to colour my Daisy.

Card two
 

This time I have taken a base black card and a white mat and this time I have stamped my daisy and coloured it with Spectrum Noir pens colours used are Orange blend and Burnt Orange blend and I took a dauber and inked the edges with my distress oxide ink pad colour used was Spiced Marmalade  then cut it into four sections I also stamped my sentiment and ink the edges. Next I cut my mat into four sections and have placed foam pads on the back to give a raised effect and placed my sentiment onto a foam pad to and placed this in the middle.

Smile cards

Visible Image Daisy Grunge stamp set think I will be using this a lot as you can do so many different card with this stamp. Here is one of my cards I have made four so far. So first card is a black base card with a white mat. Then I stamp the daisy and sentiment in black ink and adhered to my card. So quick and easy.

Card Two
 

This time I still got my black base card and white mat. I stamped with black ink but this time I decided to colour my daisy using a Yellow and Orange pencil and pink for the little flower on the sentiment.

Dreams Dragonfly Card

Visible Image stamp set Dragonfly Dreams. I love to get messy when crafting so for this card I took a white base card then a mat which is water colour card. Now the dun I used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens they are the Coastal Cottage set and I used all six colours. I just randomly coloured all over the card and left to dry or you could use a heat gun to dry it quicker. Next versa fine ink  pad ink up your stamp and stamp then I covered in Wow Primary Ebony embossing powder and then came the heat gun and the magic happens it becomes all shiny. It looks so much better in person hard to get in a picture. I then mounted this onto my card.
